Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has introduced a new version of the mobile operating system MIUI 12. It was first introduced in China with the Mo 10 Youth Edition. Now it has been launched globally.
The company will roll out the MIUI 12 update in various rounds. In the first round, it will be updated in Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro. It will start in June.
Special features of MIUI 12
MIUI 12 has undergone visual changes, but many new features have also been added.
With MIUI 12 you will now get new icons, animations, and fonts. It looks fresh due to the modern text and new animations.
A new control center is now provided with MIUI 12. It seems to be inspired by the new version of iOS. That is, Quick Settings is being replaced with this.
The company has also given some new live wallpapers in this update, called Super Wallpapers.
Floating Windows is supported, which will be like using different windows simultaneously on the desktop.
The company has also made a number of privacy claims. If any application requires separate permission, then users will be asked in bold text. If you open an application for the first time, it will tell you what information this application is accessing.
It flares only for privacy. You will be alerted by alarms whenever an application tries to use your camera, microphone or location without permission.
Health facilities are also provided at MIUI 12. Features include built-in step counter, cycling, steering climbing, and sleep tracker.
In addition to all these features, many smaller features will be seen. These include Me Share, Dark Mode 2, Weather, Gesture Control, and a new type of app drawer.
