TRAI launches app to subscribe to TV channels, available for iOS and Android

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) on Thursday launched the ‘TRAI Channel Selector’ app for the convenience of consumers. With the help of this app, customers of various cable operators will be able to subscribe to their favorite TV channels.

At the same time, channels that customers dislike can also be removed. Previously this work was done at the operator level but now it will be done only through the app.

Customers were inconvenienced to subscribe to the channel

According to TRAI, customers had to choose a channel from their service provider’s web portal or app after the new broadcast service prices were applied. There was some inconvenience to the customers. So TRAI has developed this app so that customers can get all the features on a single platform.

Connected with DTH and cable operator

Information on DTH service providers and multi-system operators is available on the app. Other operators will also be involved soon.
After downloading the app, the user has to select the service provider and submit the mobile number and customer ID. You will then need to generate a password and submit an OTP.

App available for both iOS and Android users

Trini’s app is available on both the Apple Store and Play Store. Customers will be able to subscribe to channels they like through the app and also remove unwanted channels. So far, the app has received more than 10,000 downloads.
