Data of 7 lakh users of Railyatri leaked, information related to debit card made public

There have been reports of a break-in RailYatri’s server. A cybersecurity firm has reported in its report that the train passenger had kept people’s data on the Unsecure server, taking advantage of which the hackers have carried out the incident.

According to a report by The Next Web, a security firm named Safety Detectives has reported that more than 7 lakh passengers’ personal information has been leaked from the passenger’s servers, including information such as payment details, names, and ticket booking details. In this data leak, information related to the credit card and debit card of the passengers has also been claimed to be leaked.

The leaked data contains information such as the ticket booker’s location, UPI ID, payment login, bus booking, e-mail address, name, and contact numbers.

Size of leaked data 43 GB

The security firm claims that RailYatri had put users’ data on a server with unencrypted and no password, which is about 43 GB in size. Most of these data is from the Indian people only. Although the passenger has not yet responded to this report, but the server has been shut down for the time being.
